Gov. Charlie Crist (R-Fla.), whose past events with President Obama has caused him no end of headaches in his Senate campaign, may once again appear alongside Obama.

Crist tells the St. Petersburg Times that he will try to appear with Obama and Joe Biden when the two come down to Florida on Thursday to announce a new high-speed rail grant.

"Currently, I have plans to be in Tampa on Thursday for the Board of Governors (meeting)," Crist said. "We're going to  announce the new membership. If we can work it out logistically, I will be with [Obama.]"

Crist campaigned alongside Obama for the stimulus package last February, a decision that left conservatives furious.
