Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin revived on Wednesday their slogan from their 2008 GOP White House bid on offshore drilling.

McCain and Palin tweeted, "Drill, baby, drill!" in apparent support for President Barack Obama's new plan to allow expanded energy exploration.

McCain tweeted Wednesday:

Drill baby drill! Good move - where are Reid and Pelosi on this?

While Palin followed up:

Drill, baby, drill.

Rep.Boehner spot-on Obama goal=cram thru job-killing, energy-depleting, burdensome Cap & Tax scheme on heels of Obama's new"pro-drilling"msg

"Drill, baby, drill!" became a cri de cour for the pair during their time on the 2008 presidential campaign trail, when oil prices spiked during the summer, leading to Republican calls for expanded energy exploration. The House GOP stayed in a shadow session during August of 2008 to protest for more allowed drilling.

Palin seemed to side with House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), though, who expressed dissatisfaction with Obama's decision, pointing to the specter of new regulations through the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
