President Barack Obama is hitting the golf links on Saturday.

With the 98th annual Cherry Blossom going on in Washington and the weather being cloud-free and 55 degrees, Obama decided to enjoy part of the day at the Fort Belvoir golf course in Virginia, just south of the nation's capital.

Crowds around the National Mall waved at the presidential motorcade as it traveled to the course.

It appears to be the first round Obama has played since late December, when he took to the course while on vacation in his home state of Hawaii. An injury to a friend's child cut the round short.

A combination of harsh winter weather and the healthcare debate looming the last few months has barred Obama from playing golf.
