Schakowsky is one of a handful of Democrats considering a run for Sen. Roland Burris's (D-Ill.) seat. Others include Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias and Chris Kennedy (son of RFK).

Jarrett will attend Schakowsky's "women's power lunch" today along with White House Director of Public Liaison Tina Tchen and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.).

Schakowsky has said she'll make a decision about the Senate race by June 8.
