But she has closed the gap. Though her approval (33 percent) is much higher than her disapproval (13 percent), Gillibrand still trails Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.), 33-29.

In mid-February, Gillibrand trailed McCarthy, 34-24. And McCarthy is slightly more unknown that Gillibrand.
