The Intelligent Report on Iran’s nuclear capabilities is an estimate. There were previous estimates, but I think that this report is an attempt to accumulate all the information to come up with a position.

In recognizing that it is based on the information that is available. It appears that the concerns we’ve had may not be founded when it comes to Iran having a nuclear weapons program as oppose to a nuclear refinement type of program.

Obviously the White House has been wrong about this. My sense is that we should not let down our guard. If the estimate is accurate, that is good news. If it is not accurate then I still think we need to be prepared, pushing for further sanctions and we should be working to verify.

I don’t think anybody outside of Iran, if anybody inside trusts President Ahmadinejad, that is why I don’t trust, I would like to verify, and we need to have a transparent program in order to verify.
