The second bill was H.R. 723, the Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed Protection Act. This bill would require a study on the possible addition of dozens of miles of rivers in Connecticut and Rhode Island to the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System.

Also by voice vote, the House approved H.R. 1158, the North Cascades National Park Service Complex Fish Stocking Act, maintaining fish stocking activities in various lakes.

All three were approved by voice vote and with little debate and little to no opposition.

Votes on two other suspension bills will take place at 6:30 p.m.
