The House on Monday will consider suspensions and a bill to provide California drought relief, while the Senate will vote on nominations.

At 2 p.m., the House will convene for legislative business and debate the bill to provide assistance to areas in California affected by prolonged drought. The House will also consider bills under suspension of the rules to name federal buildings.

However, there will be no roll call votes in the House on Monday since the chamber was not originally scheduled to be in session. Any votes will be postponed to Tuesday.

The Senate will convene at 2 p.m. for leadership remarks. At 5:30 p.m., the Senate will vote to confirm the nominations of Jeffery Martin Baran to be a member of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Lauren McGarity McFerran to be a member of the National Labor Relations Board and Ellen Dudley Williams to be director of the Advanced Research Projects Agency at the Department of Energy.
