Reid sets stage for next vote on China currency bill

Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio), however, indicated he will not call up the bill in the House regardless of its popularity in the Senate.

The upper chamber adjourned on Tuesday night at about 6:44 p.m. after confirming by unanimous consent an ambassador to Turkey.

The Senate is set reconvene at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Unless an agreement is reached to more quickly move The Currency Exchange Rate Oversight Reform Act of 2011, S. 1619, the cloture vote will occur at around 11 a.m. on Thursday morning.
