Schumer added that Trump was handed an "already healthy economy," but "two words we won't hear President Trump say tonight about the economy: 'Thanks, Obama.' "

Schumer pointed to the 2.24 million jobs added in 2016 compared to the 2.06 million jobs added in 2017.

Trump is expected to tout the economy, and the GOP tax bill, during his State of the Union address on Tuesday night.

It will "cover a lot of territory, including our great success with the markets and with the tax cut," Trump said on Monday.
