Joseph Gordon-Levitt has reportedly been offered the part of Edward Snowden in an upcoming biopic.

The “Lincoln” actor, 33, is said to be director Oliver Stone’s pick to play the former National Security Administration leaker, according to Variety. The Academy Award-winning director was behind movies such as “JFK,” “Nixon,” and “Natural Born Killers.”

Shooting has not yet begun on the flick based on a book by Snowden’s lawyer.

Snowden, a former defense contractor, sought asylum in Russia following the 2013 leaks. Last month, the country granted the 31-year-old permission to stay there for three more years.
