Bush granddaughter marries in Maine

WE HEAR: Former President George H.W. Bush’s granddaughter, Ellie LeBlond, recently tied the knot in a ceremony in Kennebunkport, Maine, the town where she and her husband first met.

The D.C. native is stunning in a white lace wedding gown in photos of the late September nuptials posted on Instagram.

{mosads}LeBlond, a niece of former President George W. Bush who works at a wellness consulting firm, married Nick Sosa after meeting five years ago.

A wedding website for the couple says, “Though their families had known each other for many years, Ellie and Nick somehow went 24 years without crossing paths.” Although there’s “photographic proof” they attended the same summer picnic in 2006, neither “remembers meeting the other until the summer of 2009.”

“The fateful moment happened over a puzzle table, in Kennebunkport, Maine — the place that is the most special to each of them,” the website say. The Bush family owns an oceanside retreat in the popular summer destination.

No word on whether LeBlond’s famous uncle or grandfather made it to the wedding, but one photo from the big day shows the bride and guests making a “W” gesture with their fingers and is hashtagged “W.”
