Kate McKinnon ‘obviously’ rooting for Hillary

The “Saturday Night Live” comedienne who portrays Hillary Clinton says she’s “obviously” hoping for the Democratic presidential candidate to do well on the campaign trail.

Actress Kate McKinnon endorsed Clinton during a roundtable interview of female comics, according to a Wednesday story from The Hollywood Reporter.

“I’m rooting for her, obviously,” McKinnon said.

“I’d be so nervous to meet her,” she added. “I find her so resplendent!”

{mosads}McKinnon has repeatedly played Clinton during segments on the sketch comedy show.

She also admitted on Wednesday she is often nervous about her caricature of Clinton accurately reflecting the former secretary of State.

“I do feel pressure,” McKinnon said.

She said she and the “SNL” writers have to walk a line with their exaggerated Clinton.

“It’s a combination of the writers’ take on her but also this contrast between a woman so driven and hardened by her experiences — She needs this! The country needs this! — and this sweet granny from the Midwest,” McKinnon said.

Clinton unveiled her presidential campaign in an online video released on April 12.

McKinnon spoofed Clinton’s 2016 launch in a sketch aired the night before.

“My gosh, I don’t know if I have it in me. I’m scared,” McKinnon’s Clinton tells a staffer in the show’s opening for its April 11 episode.

“I’m kidding,” she quips. “Let’s do this.”
