According to stats released earlier this month, the first GOP debate was the most watched cable newscast of all time. But how many of the millions of Americans who tuned in to Fox News that night truly heard what the candidates were saying?

Luckily, the folks at Bad Lip Reading, the immensely popular YouTube channel, have gone through the painstaking process of removing the pomp and words from the flashy display of one-upmanship and replaced them with what the Republican candidates were really saying as only a truly bad lip-reader could know.

"As a new presidential election gets under way, it's important to stay informed about the potential candidates,” Bad Lip Reading notes on its Facebook page.

Well, if not informed about, at least entertained by.
