Omarosa: Trump will help women ‘shatter the glass ceiling’

Omarosa Manigault, who led Donald Trump’s black outreach team, says the president-elect will do what Hillary Clinton couldn’t: have women “shatter the glass ceiling.”

“He does not judge people on their gender or race. He judges them on their ability to do the job,” Manigault — one of the more infamous contestants from Trump’s days hosting “The Apprentice” on NBC — says in a guest column published Tuesday in The Hollywood Reporter.

{mosads}Pointing to her own success since her “Apprentice” days, Manigault defends the controversial real estate mogul, who made countless headlines throughout his White House bid for his past lewd remarks about women.

“Look to his past to see what he will do for women in this country,” says Manigault, who’s part of Trump’s transition team.

“We can look at his current company, The Trump Organization: He has more women executives than his competition — and they are also the highest-paid executives in his company.”

“Look at his daughter Ivanka, who is about to take over the company,” she continues. “As early as the ‘80s, he has had women in roles as construction managers. That was unprecedented.”

“I believe he will empower women and have them shatter the glass ceiling,” Manigault — once named one of TV Guide’s “60 Nastiest Villains of All Time” — says.

Clinton often spoke of “breaking the glass ceiling” on the campaign trail. “I can’t believe we just put the biggest crack in that glass ceiling yet,” she said in July as she became the first woman to nominated to the White House by a major party.

“In my experiences with him, he has only been professional,” Manigault, 42, writes of the president-elect in The Hollywood Reporter. “I am aware of the perceptions,” she says, “but he is open-minded.”
