Sasse: Someone subscribed me to Nickleback emails as a prank

Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) said Friday that he was pranked with email subscriptions for one of his least favorite bands: Nickelback

Sasse Tweeted to scold the anonymous pranksters, who he claimed signed up his personal and work email accounts to receive promotional information for the band.

The Republican lawmaker was not amused by the prank and has expressed his distaste for the band in the past.

"To whoever just subscribed my email accts (family, work, obsolete) to multiple @Nickelback promotional & fan newsletters: It's. Not. Funny," Sasse tweeted Friday afternoon.

Sasse has a long history of hating the band, which recently made a Rolling Stone readers' poll for the top 10 worst bands of the 1990s.

Twitter users quickly responded with more Nickelback memes and jokes for the Nebraska senator.
