The outspoken performer thanked Mueller, the special counsel investigating Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, while accepting a SAG award on Sunday for “Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series” for her role in “Escape to Dannemora.”

After thanking her fellow nominees and family, Arquette expressed gratitude for the former FBI director.

“Thank you Robert Mueller,” Arquette, 50, told the audience, “and everyone working to make sure that we have sovereignty for the United States of America.”
