Murkowski celebrates birthday with electric scooter ride

“My birthday present to myself!” Murkowski tweeted on Wednesday, her 62nd birthday, along with the video clip. 

Murkowski, who has served in the Senate since 2002, is up for reelection in 2022. The Alaska Republican previously won as a write-in candidate after losing in her 2010 primary to Joe Miller.

She is not the only lawmaker to take a ride on the popular electric scooters, which have taken over Washington, D.C., and other cities in recent months. Rep.
