Elon Musk's 'Saturday Night Live' hosting gig sparks pushback

Musk, the owner of Tesla and SpaceX and one of the richest people on Earth, is slated to host the sketch comedy show on May 8 with Miley Cyrus as the musical guest.

The announcement was met with pushback on social media, including from members of the show's regular cast, who highlighted the growing wealth disparity in America.



Eve 6 vocalist Max Collins said Musk "is incapable of being funny."


Musk celebrated in a tweet of his own over the weekend, saying: "Let’s find out just how live Saturday Night Live really is."
