Let “POTUS Halloween Costume Watch 2013” begin…

President Obama has typically shied away from getting in on the costumed-fun on Oct. 31, donning a fall getup (sweater and slacks) most years to welcome trick-or-treaters to the White House.


But for his first Halloween without facing a reelection fight in the future, could this be the year that the commander in chief debuts a festive outfit?

The first lady traded her feline wardrobe for non-costumed clothing in the following years, opting for regular apparel on Halloween.

The Obamas are poised to greet local children and military families at the White House for trick-or-treating on Thursday evening.
