Vice President Biden joked about his possible 2016 presidential run on Monday during the premiere of NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

Meyers noted Biden has been “very open” talking about 2016. He asked the vice president about his thought process and what factors he’s taking into account in order to make a decision.

Biden said he had actually planned on making a major announcement during the show.

{mosads}“Ya know, I was planning on making a major announcement tonight, but then I decided tonight’s your night. So I hope you invite me back,” Biden said.

Meyers then asked comedienne Amy Poehler — who appeared with Biden — what her plans are two years from now.

“I’m gonna run for president,” Poehler said.

In a recent interview with CNN, Biden said he would likely make a decision about another White House bid during the summer of 2015.

“There may be reasons I don’t run. But there is no obvious reason, for me, why I think I should not run,” he said at the time.
