Obama daughter’s TV gig with Halle Berry

Malia Obama is likely used to being in front of the cameras, and now she’s reportedly gotten a chance to be behind the lens too, with a one-day gig on a Hollywood T.V. series set.
The 15-year-old first family member got a chance to work as a production assistant last week on the set of Halle Berry’s sci-fi CBS series, “Extant,” according to The Wrap.
{mosads}A source told the entertainment site that President Obama’s older daughter “helped with computer shop alignments and the director also let her slate a take” on the Los Angeles, Calf. set. The same source said Malia “laughed with delight” and said, “My first time. This is a big deal.”
The television series is produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television. The “E.T.” director is a major Obama donor.
The president traveled to the Golden State to deliver the commencement address at the University of California, Irvine, over the weekend.
Malia Obama turns 16 next month.
Neither a spokesperson for the first lady or CBS has responded to the site’s requests for comment.
