Prince William and Kate Middleton are visiting the United States, and the heir to the British throne is poised to make a royal pit stop in Washington.
The pair will travel to New York early next month for a packed schedule of events, including a trip to the National September 11 Memorial and Museum. Middleton is pregnant with the couple’s second child, due sometime next spring.
While his wife is staying in the Big Apple, Prince William will head to the nation’s capital on Dec. 8. He’ll attend an anti-corruption conference at the World Bank as well as a working lunch there, according to details of his schedule provided by the British Embassy.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge last visited the U.S. in 2011, when they went to California.
Prince William’s brother, Prince Harry, spent two days in D.C. last year during a trip to America. The third in line to the British throne made stops at the Capitol, the White House and Arlington National Cemetery, among other destinations, while he was in town.
