If you're free for lunch on Tuesday, consider a free massage and a free meal with Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) at The Great Commuter Stress Out. (Don’t worry – Connolly is not giving the massages.)

The lunchtime event in Woodrow Wilson Plaza (13th and Pennsylvania, N.W.) is designed to help visitors de-stress their lives, and will feature pinatas for whacking, massages, prizes, and food, all courtesy of the Telework Exchange.

The Fairfax-based congressman is a longtime proponent of teleworking, and according to spokesman George Burke, Connolly sits in traffic every morning, although he tries to ride in a car with two people in it to take advantage of HOV lanes. Several times a month he hops the metro at the Dunn Loring station to Capitol South. Some days people notice him, and other days he's just a face in the crowd.

The event runs from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and while Connolly isn't likely to go for a massage, Burke says, "maybe we can convince him to take a whack at the pinata."
