With the help of a lawmaker, Kentucky man to do 35 hours of sit-ups on National Mall

A businessman from Murray, Ky. is commemorating the 35 years he has lived in the U.S. by doing 35 hours of sit-ups on the National Mall this weekend.

According to the Murray Ledger and Times, Tung Dinh began his situps at 8 a.m. Friday and will be doing them until 7 p.m. Saturday. Rep. Ed Whitfield (R-Ky.) helped Dinh get a permit to accomplish his goal on the National Mall.

Dinh will be joined by 35 students who will also be doing sit-ups. The event also coincides with the beginning of National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. A Twitter account was set up to track the progress of Dinh and the children at http://twitter.com/dinhsitup.
