In the past five years, President Obama has appeared on every major media outlet in America -- from "Oprah" to the NCAA tournament. So it was only a matter of time before he showed up on Wii.

The newest version on the popular EA Sports game "NBA Jam" game for the Wii video game player features five Democratic politicians: Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, former President Bill Clinton, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and former Vice President Al Gore.

To counter-balance the Democrats, "NBA Jam" added GOP all-stars former President George W. Bush, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Sen. John McCain (Ariz.), and former Vice President Dick Cheney.

The politicians are hidden from sight during more of the basketball game, but secret codes can unleash them onto the court.

Trey Smith, creative director of "NBA Jam," told ESPN that ever since the initial arcade version of the game, which featured former President Clinton, players have been clamoring for politicians on the digital basketball court.

"We found these pictures that showed off the emotion of all of these politicians, and some of them are classic," Smith said. "Dick Cheney has the Darth Vader snarl. Obama makes some great faces, and the politician dunk faces are some of the best dunk faces in the entire game."

Players can also look forward to unlocking a Sarah Palin character with a true-to-life beehive hairdo and a helicopter move before she dunks the basketball.

As for whether the designers got approval from the politicians to include them in the game, Smith said only, "We asked [comapny lawyers] and got the go-ahead to put [the politicians] in."

The White House declined to comment on whether specific rights were granted to EA for the characters.
