Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) won't be winning any prizes this year for the most beautiful Christmas card, but you've got to give the incoming Oversight Committee chairman points for originality.

After a week-long search, Issa announced on Tuesday that he had chosen the winner of a nationwide caption-writing contest, and it's the card pictured here.

Issa had asked Twitter users to provide a caption for this picture, and he posted a number of other honorees on his online photo page. Among them,

-"All we want for Christmas is a short-term CR--and big spending cuts!"

-"Earmarks make lousy stocking stuffers. Next year, we'd rather have coal."

-"Please restore American faith and trust in government. That is the best gift you can give us."
