There are few better ways to savor a warm spring afternoon than with a little fly fishing.

No river? No problem.

For fly fisherman Bill Dawson, the Rayburn House Office Building's courtyard fountain offered a worthy substitute.

Dawson practiced casting into the shallow fountain Thursday afternoon, prior to a reception sponsored by a number of sportfishing advocacy groups.

The reception is part of a two day "Jim Range National Casting Call" event, which includes a congressional fishing trip early Friday morning on the banks of the Potomac.
