A burst pipe at the Democratic National Committee building has rained down on House campaign staffers, leaving them all wet as they sprint toward Thursday's deadline for second-quarter fundraising.

Early Friday morning a pipe burst on the third floor of the building, flooding the second floor, which contains the offices of the Democratic Campaign Congressional Committee.

DCCC deputy executive director Jennifer Crider emails that "more than 40 percent of the office is severely damaged."

And while email and phones have been restored, Crider notes the offices "will be closed for at least two more days (not the best of timing since this is the last week of the quarter)."

She adds: "DCCC staff will be working remotely – from their homes, the DCCC’s small independent expenditure office, borrowed DSCC space, and Starbucks.  The best way to reach DCCC staff is by e-mail or cell phone."

ITK hopes everyone stays safe and dry.
