President makes pitstop at Ted's Bulletin in D.C.

August recess turns out to be prime time for spotting the president getting his eat on – especially at burger joints.

President Obama stopped by Ted’s Bulletin on Capitol Hill for lunch on Wednesday. The hungry leader was joined by six campaign volunteers from across the country who were selected for essays they wrote about organizing supporters.

The president’s favored meal seems to be pretty predictable at this point – Obama reportedly dined on a cheeseburger and fries, the same lunch he ordered at a stop at D.C.’s Good Stuff Eatery last week.

Reportedly, Wednesday's outing may make Obama the first president to dine on gourmet Pop Tarts. One of Ted's Bulletin's famous Pop Tart creations was spotted on the table, decorated with both the Illinois and American flags.
