The fifth in line to the British throne will join the first lady and Jill Biden, wife of the vice president, next week for a visit to the Fort Belvoir military base in Virginia to meet with wounded service members.
The visit, according to guidance released Thursday by the White House, is to celebrate this summer’s Invictus Games, a sporting event for injured service members and veterans.
It’s not the first time Obama and the 31-year-old royal family member have teamed up.
The pair sipped tea together at Kensington Palace back in June during a stop in London as part of a European trip Obama took with her daughters and mother to promote her Let’s Move! and Let Girls Learn initiatives.
The prince last visited Washington in 2013. While in the nation’s capital, he made a surprise appearance at a Joining Forces event at the White House and took a tour of an exhibit on Capitol Hill.
Obama recorded a video message played at last year’s Invictus Games in London that was played during the opening ceremony.
The 2016 Invictus Games are poised to take place in May in Orlando, Fla.
