During a recent taping of "Candidate Cafe" with radio station WMUR in New Hampshire, the Republican presidential candidate did impressions of characters played by Billy Crystal, Carol Kane, and Mandy Patinkin in the 1987 film.

Cruz, who once aspired to be an actor, according to The New York Times, recited the movie's lines from memory.

"That's why I love that movie," Cruz said. "My media team is now having a heart attack."
