"Never been my thing, I must admit," the celebrity businessman-turned Republican presidential candidate told GQ on the subject of man buns.

"You know, it's sort of funny. But I've been combing it this way for a long time, I figure I better not stop," Trump told the magazine of his blondish locks.

Fascination over the candidate's wavy hair took a twist last month when a photo imagining Trump with a man bun surfaced on the Internet.

After some back-and-forth during the GQ interview, Trump reportedly moved to lift the front part of his hairdo to show the writer his hairline.

"I actually think only the haters—they know it's real but they say it's not. There are haters that say 'it's not his' because they're haters—it's what they do," Trump said.
