Actress Tamera Mowry began her White House Correspondents’ Dinner weekend at the Canadian Embassy with her “correspondent husband.”

“I’m actually his guest. He was the one who was invited tonight,” Mowry told The Hill, her arm locked with her husband Adam Housley, a Fox News correspondent.

{mosads}The couple worked the crowd and got a kick out of seeing a member the Royal Canadian Mounted Police posing for photos.

“The mountie is the star of the night,” Housley said on the red carpet of The Hill’s White House Correspondents’ weekend’s Friday bash. Mowry jumped in to say she’s very used to seeing “mounties” when filming movies in Canada.

“I’ve seen them a lot because my sister and I, whenever we shoot movies, we usually film in Toronto or Vancouver,” Mowry said, referencing her 2005 Disney Channel movie “Twitches” as an example.

The actress said she is most excited to meet President Obama and to share the weekend with her husband, as they haven’t attended together in the past because of busy schedules.

“We’ve been together for 11 years … and finally, I have a chance to go,” Mowry and Housley laughed as they talked over each other.

“Every time I go, she can’t go,” Housley explained.

And Mowry’s message for President Obama at the dinner: “I love his wife. I love Michelle.”
