After Swift’s representative confirmed to People magazine that the award-winning pop star wrote her then-boyfriend Calvin Harris’s hit “This Is What You Came For,” Harris took to Twitter.

First, he retweeted a link to the People article, adding, “And she sings on a little bit of it too ... Amazing lyric writer and she smashed it as usual.”

But his praise was followed by apparent frustration.

“Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though,” he added, in an apparent reference to Swift wanting to remain anonymous on the track.

Harris didn’t stop there — and in a subsequent tweet, he invoked Perry.

“I know you’re off tour and you need someone to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it,” he continued.

About two hours later, Perry tweeted without commentary a gif of the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee looking exasperated and shrugging her shoulders.

Perry also retweeted herself from 2015: “Time, the ultimate truth teller.”

The feud with Perry allegedly inspired Swift's hit song “Bad Blood.”
