“Sometimes I think Trump is just trolling us, people,” Noah said on Comedy Central Thursday. "America’s got a troll that’s just trolling everybody. He’s the ultimate troll.

“You realize almost every single person he’s picked for his Cabinet wants to destroy the thing that they’ve been put in charge of. It’s almost like before he hires anyone, Trump Googles ‘opposite of,’ and then he just gets that person.”

Noah then panned several of Trump’s selections, including would-be Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt, who has questioned the science behind man-made climate change; secretary of Labor pick Andy Puzder, a fast-food CEO; and national security adviser nominee and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who has spread conspiracy theories on Twitter.

“The head of the Environmental Protection Agency doesn’t believe the environment should be protected,” Noah said. "His secretary of Labor is opposed to workers’ rights."

“And for national security adviser, a job that is all about assessing national intelligence, for that job, Trump chose a man who has repeatedly fallen for conspiracy theories and hoaxes,” Noah added. "How does this happen?

“You know you’re in trouble when one of Mr. Trump’s most sensible hires is his Small Business administrator, [pro wrestling magnate] Linda McMahon. Welcome to the Trump administration, where climate change is fake and wrestling is real.”

Trump formally announced his selections of Pruitt, Puzder and McMahon for their respective roles earlier this week.

The president-elect’s Cabinet so far contains a mix of close allies, wealthy donors to his White House run and military generals.
