Harvey has stated that he likes Trump “personally” but said in an interview with the Daily Beast last year, “I’m not endorsing Donald Trump.”

“Congratulations to Donald Trump, he is the president of the United States of America. As hard as I fought for that not to be the case, it is the case," he said.
“As a member of this country, we have to accept the results of the election,” Harvey said at the time. “It is what it is. Life will go on for all of us. It could be quite different.”
