The change was first spotted as Trump signed an executive order on ObamaCare and other memos as president on Friday evening.
CNN anchor Erin Burnett reported that the couches in the Oval Office had also been replaced.
"It's exactly what you'd expect right?" she said.
CNN's Don Lemon described it as "all gold everything."
Some of the artwork in the Oval Office has also been swapped out, and a bust of Teddy Roosevelt sits on one of the bookshelves, according to pool reports.
It is traditional for new president to redecorate the Oval Office.
Trump is known for enjoying gold accents and features in interior decorating. Journalists have noted that his office and home at Trump Tower heavily feature gold.
