James was asked during a media session Friday about the All-Star Game rosters, which included some surprising choices that were voted into the game by NBA players. 

"There's always goofy votes," James said.

"I mean, Donald Trump is our president," he added, cracking a smile.

In December, James and fellow teammates refused to stay at one of Trump's hotels in lower Manhattan, though the team was contracted to stay there.

James has become one of the more outspoken sports stars in recent years, speaking out for gun control and against police shootings of young black men.
