Social media users knock Ivanka Trump over date night photo during protests

Social media users are blasting Ivanka Trump for posting a photo of herself going to an Alfalfa Club dinner Saturday amid protests at airports around the country over President Trump’s immigration ban.

Ivanka Trump’s photo shows her and her husband, Jared Kushner, in black tie.

People called the photo “tone-deaf,” given the executive order Friday banning immigration from certain countries.

{mosads}The post went viral after President Trump’s order on Friday barring Syrian refugees indefinitely and halting the resettlement of all refugees for four months as the administration reviews the vetting process.

The order also denies entry for 90 days for individuals from seven predominantly Muslim countries: Iraq, Iran, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Libya and Yemen.

Massive protests against the executive order started after immigrants and refugees were detained at airports across the country as they tried to enter the U.S.
