Howard Stern is slamming Sean Spicer over his comments about the Holocaust, saying the White House press secretary speaks “fluent moron.”

Spicer claimed earlier this week during a White House press briefing that Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, whose regime gassed millions of Jews and others during the Holocaust, did not use chemical weapons during World War II. The misstatement came as Spicer was attempting to compare Syrian President Bashar Assad — who’s accused of killing some of his citizens with chemical weapons — to Hitler.

The statements, Stern said Wednesday on his SiriusXM radio show, were “crazy.”

“When I heard this, I was like, Trump’s got to fire this guy, I think,” Stern, 63, exclaimed.

{mosads}“Spicer managed to make Assad look good,” the radio host said. “He actually got him to look not so bad for using chemical weapons on his own people because the discussion became, Sean Spicer, how could you not know that Hitler marched his own people — Jews, gypsies, homosexuals … to concentration camps and turned on chemical gas. It was somewhat remarkable that a guy this high up in the administration wouldn’t know this.”

“The guy’s just not informed, and it’s kind of embarrassing — it’s just embarrassing. But it’s entertaining as hell,” Stern remarked.

“If you’re looking for ratings and you’re looking for comedy, there’s nothing better than this,” Stern continued. “But if I’m President Trump, I’m like, well Jesus Christ, we’re a laughingstock.”

Democratic leaders, the Anne Frank Center and even one Republican have called for the Trump spokesman to step down over the comments.

Spicer, 45, has apologized multiple times for the gaffe, telling Wolf Blitzer in a CNN interview on Tuesday that he “mistakenly used an inappropriate and insensitive reference to the Holocaust, for which frankly there is no comparison.”

Stern — who played host to then-real estate mogul Donald Trump several times over the years on his long-running radio show — panned Spicer’s job performance, saying, he “always looks scared” and like he’s about to make a mistake.

“There were no other guys available for this job when Trump was looking for a press secretary?” Stern asked co-host Robin Quivers. “He’s got to be bottom of the barrel, right?” he added.

“This is who Trump wants out front,” replied Quivers. “The man has made a ton of errors since taking that job.”

Turning his attention to poke fun at one of his staffers, Sal Governale, Stern said, “You speak fluent moron, and so does Sean Spicer.”

Stern said of Trump, “Why would he not want a guy that makes him look good?”
