Actor Alec Baldwin returned to "Saturday Night Live" this week, continuing his impression of President Trump and admitting he fired former FBI Director James Comey over the bureau's investigation of Russian election interference.
The episode's opening skit parodied an interview between Trump and "NBC Nightly News"' host Lester Holt earlier in the week after Trump dropped the bombshell news that he had fired Comey.
"Your staff has been insisting all week you didn't fire him because of his Russian investigation," 'SNL' cast member Michael Che said as Holt.
"No I did," Baldwin's Trump responded. "I fired him because of Russia. I thought, 'he's investigating Russia, I don't like that I should fire him.'"
Baldwin continued that, "nothing’s going to stop me because I have the Republicans in the palm of my hand," as cast member Mikey Day entered impersonating House Speaker Paul RyanPaul Davis RyanPaul Ryan researched narcissistic personality disorder after Trump win: book Paul Ryan says it's 'really clear' Biden won election: 'It was not rigged.
