Dingell after Fox News appearance: 'Really pathetic!' MORE's Cabinet enjoys his impersonation of the commander in chief on “Saturday Night Live” — but he isn't saying who the fan is.

“I’m not going to name names, but a Cabinet member walked up to me at a restaurant in Manhattan — Manhattan, that’s a hint — and he goes, ‘I gotta tell you something,’ ” Baldwin said in a Hollywood Reporter interview published Monday. “’This thing you’re doing is good, it’s really good.’”

“He goes, ‘I’ll get fired if anybody quoted me saying this, but that’s exactly what he’s like when you do it.’ ”

Baldwin added that his popular impression of Trump hinges on portraying the president as “miserable.”

“There are many people who do Trump now, and they all have different Trumps,” he said. “They have kind of a ‘balls-on-his-feet-light Trump’ or what I like to call ‘Gene Kelly Trump.' But my Trump is ‘miserable Trump.' No matter what. He wins, he loses, he’s miserable.”

Baldwin returned to “SNL” over the weekend to parody an interview between Trump and “NBC Nightly News” host Lester Holt.

“Your staff has been insisting all week you didn’t fire [former FBI Director James Comey] because of his Russian investigation,” cast member Michael Che’s Holt said.

“No, I did,” Baldwin’s Trump responded. “I fired him because of Russia. I thought, ‘He’s investigating Russia, I don’t like that, I should fire him.’ ”
