Dem rep polls Twitter followers on whether a hot dog is a sandwich
Rep. Tom O’Halleran (D-Ariz.) is reaching out to constituents for input on a crucial question: Is a hot dog a sandwich?
O’Halleran marked National Hot Dog Day with a Twitter poll on the question. Early respondents mostly voted “no.”

{mosads}Capitol Hill celebrated the day with the annual Congressional Hot Dog Lunch for members and staffs.
Animal rights group PETA held its own competing veggie dog lunch.
And a number of lawmakers weighed in on Twitter, sharing photos of their hot dog lunches or just marking the occasion.
