"I want to be the head of the president's council for physical fitness and nutrition," Ferrigno told the Daily Mail in an interview published Thursday. "So I've been corresponding with President Trump because I want to change America and make America healthy again.

"I'm a top choice for that. So we'll see what happens, because I feel I'm the best candidate for that."


The White House did not respond to The Hill's request for comment.

Ferrigno, a former fitness trainer and consultant, is best known for playing the Hulk in the 1970s and '80s.

He backed Trump early on in the real estate mogul's presidential campaign, telling TMZ in 2015: "I hope Donald goes all the way."
