“Saturday Night Live” star Kate McKinnon gave an emotional shoutout to Hillary Clinton as she accepted an award at the Emmys on Sunday night.
McKinnon, who impersonated Clinton throughout the 2016 presidential campaign, thanked the Democratic presidential nominee during her acceptance speech for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series for her work on “SNL.”
{mosads}“On a very personal note, I want to thank Hillary Clinton for your grace and grit,” McKinnon said during her speech.
The “SNL” star also thanked Clinton during her acceptance speech for the same award last year.
The two have been spotted together outside of the show, including having dinner in New York City earlier this year.
