Hillary breaks toe running down stairs, misses interviews

Hillary Clinton’s foot is reportedly on the mend after breaking her toe while running down a set of stairs.
“I was running down the stairs in heels with a cup of coffee in hand, I was talking over my shoulder and my heel caught and I fell backwards,” the former Democratic presidential nominee said in a Monday interview on the BBC’s “The Graham Norton Show,” according to The Daily Mail.
Clinton was photographed sporting a surgical boot on her right foot while appearing as a guest on the show to promote her book, “What Happened.”

The fall forced her to pull out of a series of scheduled TV and radio appearances, according to The Daily Mail.
“I tried to get up and it really hurt,” Clinton, 69, said of her tumble. “I’ve broken my toe.”
Clinton’s spokesman, Nick Merrill, confirmed the foot-related snafu in a pair of Monday tweets:
