Celebrities that Ivanka Trump follows on Instagram have started posting personalized “Dear Ivanka” messages, urging her to advocate for the passage of the DREAM Act.

BuzzFeed News reported Thursday that celebrities like Cara Delevingne, Olivia Wilde and Sophia Bush had posted the messages calling for the senior White House adviser to push for protections for those in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) program to be extended.

"Dear Ivanka — I see you're following me on Instagram. This Thanksgiving I would be grateful if you use the influence you have to advocate for a CLEAN Dream Act by December," the post reads.

“Every day that passes without a clean Dream Act means anxiety and deportation for immigrant youth. 7,901 youth have already lost DACA and 122 more will lose it each day.”

“Thank you and happy holidays.”

Sophia Amoruso, CEO and Founder of Girlboss, was the first to post the message, according to BuzzFeed.

The Trump administration announced in September that it would be ending DACA on a six-month delay, giving Congress the opportunity to pass legislation that would extend the protections for undocumented residents brought to the U.S. as children.

However, efforts to pass the legislation are at a standstill and it's unclear when Congress will take up the issue.
