Cardi B: I’ll perform at Super Bowl halftime show ‘when they hire Colin Kaepernick back’

Rapper Cardi B said Saturday that she will not perform at a Super Bowl halftime show unless NFL free agent Colin Kaepernick gets hired by a team.

The Grammy-nominated musician told TMZ on Saturday that she would do the halftime performance "when they hire Colin Kaepernick back."

Kaepernick garnered national attention in 2016 when he started kneeling during the national anthem as a means of protesting racial injustice in the U.S.

Cardi B has voiced her support for Kaepernick in the past on Twitter.
