Comey to appear on 'The View' next month

Whoopi Goldberg, one of the ABC talk show’s co-hosts, announced the high-profile April 18 booking on Tuesday’s show, saying of the former FBI director, “Clearly, we have a lot to talk to him about.”

The interview on “The View” will come a day after Comey is poised to sit down with Stephen Colbert on CBS’s “The Late Show.”

The slate of appearances — which also includes an interview with George Stephanopoulos on April 15, his first since leaving the administration — comes during a promotional push for Comey’s upcoming memoir, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies & Leadership.”

Comey later said under oath that Trump had asked him for "loyalty," and for him to back off the investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn. Trump has denied both claims.
